(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 16, 2019 ) This years Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) was held at Regal L.A. LIVE, the state-of-the-art, world-class cinema in the heart of Los Angeles. It opened with a tribute to Tabu and a moderated discussion along with a screening of her Bollywood hit, Andhadhun. Tabu plays an actress caught disposing of her husbands body in front of a pianist, who may or may not be blind in this black comedy.

With half of the festivals 2019 line-up directed by female filmmakers, this couldnt be a stronger celebration of women in Indian cinema.
The 17th edition of IFFLA, that screened films in 9 languages, consisted of documentary features, shorts and many showings from mainstream Indian cinema. The annual four-day festival is a platform for the latest in cutting-edge global Indian cinema. It also attempts to bridge the gap between the two largest entertainment industries in the world, Hollywood, and the Indian film industry.
Step and Repeat LA created a 16 step and repeat backdrop for the festival. They also provided stanchions, lighting, and a red carpet to greet guests.
