(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 03, 2019 ) The 41st Denver Film Festival (DFF) was held at the Sie FilmCenter, Denvers only year-round cinematheque and the permanent home of the Denver Film Society.
Over the course of the 12-day festival, DFS played over 250 films, most of which were seen for the first time in Colorado, or even the United States. The festival was also host to filmmakers, directors, actors, workshops, a virtual reality pavilion and much more.

Display by Step and Repeat LA was the photo backdrop for 12 days
played by Hugh Jackman (‘Logan’, ‘X Men’, ‘Les Misrables’). The international focus was on Hungarian cinema.
Awards given to filmmakers, directors, and actors for their films in the Peoples Choice category included: Narrative Feature to ‘Green Book’; Documentary Feature to ‘The Weight of Water’; and Short Subject Film to’Earthwise’.
Every year, Denver Film Society incorporates their other, smaller annual film festivals which were spotlighted once again Jadore, CinemaQ, CinemaLatino, and Women+.
Over the past four decades, the Denver Film Festival has striven to elevate film as an art-form, reflect the social conversations of the day and work with those in the community to create an engaging and entertaining environment. Their mission is to develop opportunities for diverse audiences to discover film through creative, thought-provoking experiences.
