The 7th Annual Australians in Film Awards (AiF) Gala was held October 24th,2018 at historic Paramount Studios in Hollywood. Hosted by Josh Lawson (Anchorman 2 and the Legend Continues), the show opened with a surprise performance by Australian rapper, Briggs.
The fundraiser honored top talent such as comedian Hannah Gadsby and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star, Damon Herriman. Eliza Scanlen, was recognized with the Screen Australia Breakthrough Award.
Founded in 2001, Australians in Film is a Los Angeles-based,
non-profit, film, television and digital content foundation that supports and promotes Australian screen talent and culture in the United States. AiFs career development and education programs include the prestigious Heath Ledger Scholarship, Mentor LA, Village Roadshow/Animal Logic Entertainment Internship, Greg Coote Fellowship, Gateway LA, and The Writers Room.
For this event, Step and Repeat LA created an 8 x 6 backdrop for indoor photo ops and an impressive 8 x 32 media wall for outdoors. They used seamless fabric stretched on a rigid wooden wall for this imposing wall. For this project, Step and Repeat LAs services included delivery and installation as well as take down and pick up.
