Bess II: Into the Wind continues Bess’ story through the First World War, the Spanish Flu epidemic and into the 1920s as she works to keep her children and her ranch thriving in dangerous times. She meets Anna, a schoolteacher who is also lesbian, and given the religious and intolerant nature of the community, Bess and Anna must manage their relationship secretly and discreetly while raising the children—or face the consequences of their forbidden love.
